Okay, I've kinda delved into the totally obscure with this one. Although, people semi-familiar with the Filmation He-man & the Masters of the Universe may remember Evilseed. He startled me the first time I saw him when he pulls his hood down, cuz I didn't expect to see... an avocado thing. ( I meant Artichoke but the term escape me when I posted this )
Oddly enough, the only episode of the 2000s He-man cartoon series I saw was the Evilseed one. They completely changed him for that. I like this one better... cuz he's funny. I tried to make his ass look bad for this though.
Oh now this is a guy I remember quite well. Sure he may have appeared only in one episode, but he sure was a worthy adversary. And I didn't forget the way he died at the end of the episode. With his last words being "I will be back... I will be back! There will be another season. Yes! There will be... Another season..."
Yep. I have to say, that was pretty hardcore for a show that was made back in 1983. I was born that year, and He-Man was one of the first shows I've come to know back then. And I have to say; I'm glad to have been born in and to have grown up in a time when cartoons had balls and originality. Especially if you count the dark and serious anime films like Fist of the North Star, Vampire Hunter D, Akira, and Ninja Scroll.
Really? Wow! Awesome! I envy you! You were born almost a decade before me! Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't 1977 the year when the movie Wizards was released? Cuz I hear that that was one of the first dark and serious cartoons that we made way back in the day.
The Internet says that came out in 1976. I know I have it on VHS... I may have bought the DVD, I can't remember though. It prolly was one of the first dark cartoons... at least one of the first wide released ones. I think the art was based on the work of Vaughn Bode.
