I like taking liberties so I took them again whilst doodleth-ing yon Spikor as they may have said it in the Old Country. The only incarnation of Masters of the Universe's Spikor that I like is the vintage action figure... and for some reason, even though I have at least one memory of handling a vintage Spikor figure, we don't have him in the box of old He-men & woman in the basement. TWO frickin' Stinkors but no Spikor. Life sucks.

The vintage Spikor had a better head. It was almost cute in a disgruntled sort of way. He looked awful in the Filmation cartoon and the new one from Matty Collector looks too... much like he was made BY grown-ups FOR grown-ups. I dunno if they did an " extreme " Spikor in the 2002 series or not.

The thing I never liked about Spikor was that his chest spikes were just part of his armor yet he had the same sort of spikes growing out of his head. It ain't right I tells ya! So, I done made him a porcupine with real spikey-quill dealies growing out of his... self. I also tried to make his prosthetic ... fork seem a touch more plausible. His mace is made out of an old-timey stoplight back when they were made of wood and sharp rocks.... it's Steam-Punk so nerds'll love it!

I don't think there's anything NOT to love about this. Generally I think I would dismiss an alteration made to an original character's design, but here, you are making in-continuity pragmatic choices. This nerd purist's test have ye passed. I'm diggin your ideas here.

I had to change him because, while cool, the spike armor didn't make sense with his head.

Now... when/if I get to Mosquitor, I may hafta make some more creative decisions. I have the vintage one and the new one. The new one is very cool but kinda drives me crazy cuz I can't tell where his body starts and his armor ends.
