I saw " Wreck-It Ralph " finally. It was good, formulaic as heck, but good. CG movies anymore are written like ... strict poetry or something now. The same-feeling things happen at the same time but with different characters. " Wreck-It Ralph " also was one of those movies that is somewhat mislead by its trailer. I kept thinking that his time in the candy race-track game was gonna be a short sidetrack just to meet Glitch but that was pretty much the beef o' the movie.

What really surprises me ( well... not really  ), is the the fan-art for Turbo. The guy was maybe on screen for 5IVE SECONDS! I guess the bad guys just have that allure that horny girls crave. He reminds me of my recent " Masters of the Universe " Dragstor doodle I did the other week. The way people draw him though, I thought he was actually... IN the movie. ;-)
Dragstor or Turbo? Dragstor by Phraggle

I really liked Q-Bert with his Star Wars-alien lingo. " Coily " was neat too. I'm glad they found work in the end cuz I felt bad for them. Anyone remember the old 1980s arcade cartoons on Saturday mornings? " Supercade " or something. They made Q-Bert some weird Fonzie character. I'm glad I was born in 1974. Kids these days... boy I'll tell ya. I don't think texting while driving & anti-bullying campaigns & Facebook would be enough to keep me interested in life. I need toys & cartoons g'dammit! ;-)

I was also glad to see the 2 Digdug baddies... even if they didn't " do " anything. ;-)

Loved WIR myself, hit most of the right buttons since i grew up in that video game age, music fit, dialog pretty good, and while yes there was some formulaic stuff, There were quite enough twists to keep me interested.. (Though the final sacrifice yourself moment still has me eyerolling.. abandoning the logic they put through the whole movie)(Save Peneolpy, and look, now wreck it ralph goes offline..real way to think there big guy)

Admittedly as a giant man eating lion.. I couldn't help getting hungry with all the candy in sugar rush.. just thinking about it now.... must resist sucking on fraggle heads.. i must be strong....

There is Turbo fan art? Okay, i'm not following art enough, i admit it.. though the final evolution was cool in a strange way.. He WAS a good villain in my mind, but not a ongoing nemesis. One dimensional, but still ,the reveal.. MRRRRR.....

Toy Story with Video games, Sorta, but really apart from the basic concept of life after the humans go home the similarities were slight.
But anyhow, WIR was one of the best movies i've seen in a few years...
